golf mk3 headlight adjustment electronicly

im having a few problems getting the headlights to adjust

ive tested the motors and they work,but once in my car they dont work

there is 11 volts at the motor side of the wire loom but the switch doesnt move the lights

tryed in the lights and out the lights,the motors just dont move

You should get thet wiring diagrams from somewhere, i had wire cut off in another car, that was the reason why the motors didnt work from the switch. Or if you got the switch to swap easily, try that first.

ok new switch works

but other funny problem

ive 4 motors,1 works

swiss made one with metal rod that moves in and out works

3x hella motors with plastic rod that moves in and out does not work

there is voltage in both places where the motor goes
all the motors work i tested with a power supply

Well, if theres different type of motor on other side, the motors probably wont work properly, i had this issue on my earlier car. It was Seat Toledo. I didnt manage to test them with power supply though, because there was 3 pins and i didnt know which is power. Hope you didnt burn the motors.

the motors still work,i had the pin diagrams for the motors

i think im going to try find the motor with the metal pole ,the plastic ones dont work with my car



i tryed combinations of all motors and just the metal poled one works

ill try find another metal poled one
